No account or analytics

This version does not create accounts or use advertising or analytics trackers. It stores an explicit language choice in your browser’s local storage. You can remove it by clearing site data.

A speed test needs network requests

Only pressing Start test sends measurement traffic to Cloudflare. Its servers receive your public IP and normal connection metadata. Optional library result logging is disabled, but this does not prevent Cloudflare from processing requests under its own policies.

Results stay in this tab

We do not save results to a server in this version. The latest result and previous completed result are saved in this tab’s session storage without your IP. They survive refresh and navigation; browser session restoration may also restore them. A new test replaces the displayed measurement. Clearing site data removes saved results. Download result saves a JSON file locally without your IP. There are no public result-sharing links yet.

Connection information

When deployed behind our Cloudflare Worker, the speed-test page requests /api/connection/ on opening to show your public IP, approximate city, country and network organization. The separate IP tool contacts it only when you press its button. Cloudflare processes the request and its connection metadata; no separate geolocation API receives a lookup. The local preview cannot provide live edge data. We display these details in page memory without saving them. IP location is approximate and may reflect a VPN or provider location, not your home.

Before a public launch

This is a local development privacy notice. The final hosting provider, operator contact details, server log retention, and any future storage must be documented before public deployment.
